Community Support Role
We are seeking a professional to deliver personal care services to our community clients on a casual basis in the Northam area of Western Australia.
This role requires working in a supportive environment that encourages initiative and leadership, delivering care services including showering, dressing, continence care, administering medication, domestic duties, meal preparation, and other household tasks, as well as providing social support and transport to shops or appointments.
* Personal care: assisting with showering, dressing, toileting, and continence care
* Administration of medication
* Domestic duties: assisting with household tasks, meal preparation, and maintaining safe and hygienic living conditions
* Social support: providing transport to shops or appointments
The successful candidate must possess:
* A current Australian driver's license and reliable vehicle
* A Certificate III Aged Care (desirable)
* Current First Aid certification (desirable)
* Previous experience working in the Community (desirable)
* Understanding of aged care legislation and relevant documentation
* Principles of Occupational Safety & Health and correct manual handling
* Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, clients, families, and service providers
