About the role
As a senior nursing clinician, you will supervise, coordinate and support the care team while delivering a range of generalist nursing duties, including medication management, assessment, coordination and case management for residents.
You will demonstrate expertise in contemporary clinical practice, share your knowledge of person‐centred care, and empower the team to deliver advanced clinical and holistic care. You will liaise with medical practitioners, families and multi‐disciplinary team members to ensure excellence in personalised care.
Working closely with a Clinical Manager, you will champion teamwork, provide mentorship and guidance to Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Personal Carers, Lifestyle Officers and Allied Health staff, and promote a culture of service delivery that enhances residents' lifestyle experiences.
Your compassion, empathy and ability to build dignified relationships with residents will be essential.
Qualifications and experience
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years' experience in aged care
* Demonstrated competence in contemporary nursing care including medication management, clinical governance, assessment and relevant documentation
* Strong leadership, communication and people‐management skills
* Understanding of all relevant legislative, regulatory requirements, professional standards and guidelines in the aged care environment, including accreditation and continuous quality improvement
* Working knowledge of care minutes
* Proven track record in meeting accreditation requirements
* Accountability for clinical care provisions
* Proactive time‐management and effective prioritisation
* Approachable and self‐assured communication style
* Desirable: high level skills in wound management, medication administration, continence and/or palliative care
