We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage our Maintenance team on the South Middlebank Range project located in Whyalla, South Australia. Reporting to the General Manager Mining, the successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in effectively managing HME maintenance and maintenance teams, preferably in mining operations.
This role will operate on a 5-2 roster. Local candidates are encouraged to apply.
Key Role Tasks
* Implement, monitor & manage Golding and Client maintenance systems across the project;
* Maintain strong working relationships with Client representatives and key stakeholders;
* Establish & allocate maintenance resources in line with estimates and contractual changes;
* Resolve competing maintenance resource demands across teams;
* Approve crew numbers, skill requirements and roster structures to meet maintenance objectives;
* Manage systems that identify scope divergence and address or escalate contract interpretation issues;
* Participate in SHEC audits, inspections and observations with a focus on maintenance safety leadership;
* Oversee the creation, review and approval of SHEC incident investigations to ensure quality analysis and recommendations;
* Develop Role Summaries and Performance Plans for all maintenance team members;
* Implement initiatives to sustain and improve maintenance team performance and work quality; and
* Prepare and present maintenance plans, budgets, forecasts and reports accurately and on time.
Key Capability Requirements
* Experience in managing maintenance staff on a mining operation in Australia;
* Tertiary qualifications in a related engineering field are highly preferred;
* Demonstrated history of successfully achieving safety and production objectives;
* Ability to implement necessary operational change founded on detailed analysis of production, safety, financial and other data;
* Strong commercial and financial skills; and
* Demonstrated ability in working and contributing positively as a member of a project leadership team to achieve high performance outcomes.
