Nanny / Family Assistant in Geelong, VIC. Flexible PT or FT hours with a competitive salary or hourly rate (negotiable). Start Date: 5 January 2026. Long-term, ongoing contract. Days and Hours
* 3-5 days per week
* Monday – Friday
* Core hours around school/kindy pick-up and afternoons
* Hours negotiable depending on the nanny's availability and preferences
Responsibilities and Typical Day
* School and kindy pick-ups (walking distance, with occasional driving)
* Assisting with after-school routines (homework, activities, dinner, bath, bedtime prep)
* Occasional groceries / pickups / preparing healthy meals for the children (family uses services like HelloFresh, Amazon, and Woolworths online, but focus is on meal preparation and putting away deliveries)
* Light household support (laundry, tidying living areas, dishwasher) – cleaner is provided, no deep cleaning required
* Helping children follow house rules and routines; encouraging tidying up
Ideal Nanny
We're looking for a nanny who is:
* Responsible, reliable, positive, warm
* Confident communicator who can set boundaries kindly but firmly
* Organised, proactive, and happy to help with family logistics
* Experienced with multiple children (childcare qualifications aren't essential)
* Active and happy to take children outdoors on sunny days to promote a healthy lifestyle (walks, bike rides, local parks, picnics, etc.)
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience as a nanny/family assistant
* Current first aid certificate
* Current Working with Children Check
* Strong communication skills and English proficiency
* Ability to swim/supervise and be in or around a pool with children
* Pet-friendly (family plans to get a dog); ability to help teach children how to care for a pet
* Full driver's license – ideally with own car; family car provided (Kia Carnival automatic) for school/kindy runs and outings
