About the Role
Position: Temporary Part-Time (0.63 FTE), 45.6 hours per fortnight.
It is a progressive position; the successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next upon meeting criteria.
As the Social Worker you will provide evidence-based counselling interventions for children from Prep to Year 12 with mild-to-moderate mental health concerns, deliver broader social, emotional and wellbeing services across schools via group work, whole-year psycho-education, and whole-of-school wellbeing strategies.
You will work with school staff, families and community organisations to link students and families to services and support holistic outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provide evidence-based counselling interventions for students with mild-to-moderate mental health concerns.
Deliver group work, whole-year psycho-education and whole-of-school wellbeing strategies.
Work closely with school staff, families and community organisations to coordinate support.
Collaborate with a dynamic support team and receive clinical and technical guidance from regional wellbeing supervisors.
Qualifications & Experience
Registered or eligible for registration in a recognised counselling or psychology profession.
Experience in a similar role with a background working with young people is a strong advantage.
Strong organisational and self-motivation, able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
