Rope Access Painter/Blasters – Oil & Gas
The Joint Venture UGL and Altrad have been awarded a major contract to deliver services on the Woodside-operated Karratha Gas Plant Life Extension (KLE) Program. This scope involves the detailed planning and execution of key maintenance and upgrade works, including access solutions, fire protection, blasting and painting, cladding and insulation, mechanical works, pipe spool replacements, and electrical services. The KLE Program is focused on sustaining and enhancing existing gas plant infrastructure, supporting ongoing LNG production through critical maintenance and asset integrity works. For rope access personnel, this involves coating, blasting and protective maintenance across live operating plant environments, contributing to the safe and efficient extension of the facility's operational life.

About you
UAJV are seeking applications from suitably experienced Rope Access Technicians that are experienced in Painting & Blasting for upcoming work at Woodside's Karratha Gas Plant. As a Rope Access Painter/Blaster you will be proactive in developing and maintaining high levels of safety and productivity, working as part of a team on a project where the highest levels of safety are required.
You'll bring:
* Residency in Perth, WA, or locally in Karratha or surrounding areas.
* Minimum 4 years' experience as a Painter/Blaster; live gas plant exposure or Oil & Gas industry experience is highly desirable.
* Oil & Gas industry experience is required for this role.
* IRATA Rope Access Qualification Level 1 or 2 – Minimum 500hrs on logbook.
* Ability to use various pneumatic tools in the mechanical preparation of both carbon and stainless‐steel surfaces.
* Coatings application skills (brush & roller and/or airless & conventional spray).
* Ability to pass a project‐specific pre‐employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen.
