Water Treatment Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Water Treatment Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering high-level technical investigation, design, review, systems development, audit, and advisory services related to water and wastewater standards and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-level technical investigations, reviews, and advisory services related to mechanical aspects of water and wastewater assets.
* Design, review, and optimize mechanical systems across the asset base, including pumping stations, treatment works, pipelines, mechanical equipment, filtration and disinfection systems, HVAC as applicable, and associated control/instrumentation.
* Develop and refine systems development plans, asset management strategies, and lifecycle cost plans for mechanical assets.
* Plan, conduct, and coordinate audits and compliance reviews against water/wastewater standards; identify remediation actions and drive implementation.
Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Chartered status (or equivalent) highly preferred.
* Years of mechanical engineering experience in the water/wastewater sector or closely related industrial settings.
* Strong background in mechanical design, performance modelling, pump/piping systems, rotating equipment, valves, treated water/wastewater processes, and associated instrumentation and controls.
