ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you an experienced Electrical Technician with a passion for keeping South Australia's roads running safely and efficiently? We're looking for a motivated and skilled individual to join our dedicated team, working on the front line of Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) and Traffic Signal Infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and fault-finding of critical systems that support road safety, traffic flow, and smart city technologies across the state. What You'll bring:
* SA Electrical Licence
* Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities
* Strong knowledge of traffic signal controllers (PLC experience may be an acceptable alternative) and electrical switchboards
* Familiar with ITS (Intelligent Traffic Systems)
* Experienced at performing electrical installation testing and preparing Certificates of Compliance (eCoC).
* Ability to read and update drawings and manuals.
* Experience working in road and traffic environments (desirable)
* Contributes to financial estimates and budgets (desirable)
* Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, stakeholders, and clients
* Confidence to work both independently and as part of a team
* Commitment to detail with regards to record keeping, time sheets, other documentation.
* Ability to work with a laptop/tablet and/or learn at a user level, software packages including Microsoft Office suit, proprietary asset management platforms and various electronic equipment interfaces.
* Commitment to environment, quality, and safety standards.
* Flexibility regards a variety of work tasks and equipment. Work tasks may include inspections and reporting, maintenance, fault finding, installation, cleaning, learning new equipment types.
* Flexibility with regards overtime and work hours. Road works permits frequently require our team members to work nights or weekends.
