The opportunity
Are you interested in a versatile role that challenges you? We're looking for dedicated and passionate individuals committed to delivering a quality Mobile Library service, including driving and operating the Mobile Library vehicle (Heavy Combination licence required). Your excellent customer‐service, communication and technology skills will help provide a high‐level service to our community.
This role isn't a routine Library Services position. You will drive the Mobile Library Truck (semi‐articulated) to sites across Port Stephens, delivering library services and programs at 12 locations on a fortnightly timetable. Safe operation of the vehicle and providing assistance to community members are essential.
Key responsibilities
* Drive the Mobile Library Truck safely and efficiently – HC licence required.
* Deliver library services and programs at 12 different sites on a fortnightly schedule.
* Provide excellent customer support and technical assistance to patrons.
* Maintain the vehicle and equipment to ensure readiness.
Salary and working conditions
Permanent (full‐time): $67,627 – $74,612 pa (35 hours/week + 12% super + $2,464 retention allowance). Work out of PSC Library, Raymond Terrace on a roster (shifts 8–9 am to 5–7 pm weekdays, 8:30–12:30 pm alternate Saturdays).
Casual: $46.44 – $51.24 per hour + 12% super. Work out of PSC Library, Raymond Terrace.

Requirements
* Current Heavy Combination (HC) licence with a safe driving record.
* Working with Children Check (WWCC).
* Experience in a library or customer‐experience environment.
* Proficient IT skills.
