**About the role**:
In this role, you will utilize your payroll knowledge and skillset to perform all aspects of the payroll function. Reporting to the Payroll Manager your duties will include:
- accurately processing approved payroll data and facilitating payment of fortnightly salaries and wages
- efficiently processing details related to new employees, variations, back pay, terminations, alterations to banking details, sick leave, annual leave etc
- diligently maintaining employment records including tax file numbers, superannuation and other records to meet regulatory and/or organisation compliance requirements
**About you**:
To succeed in this role you will have experience working as a Payroll Officer in a medium to large organisation and your skillset will include:
- sound understanding of basic payroll controls and procedures
- accurate data entry and reconciliations skills
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- knowledge and experience with basic accounting controls and procedures,
- software experience preferably with Access (Formally Sage Micropay) and/ or Epicor
A requirement of this role is to work additional hours from time to time, up to full-time, as agreed with the Payroll Manager.
