We are looking for an experienced and proactive Dental Assistant to join our dedicated team in a permanent part-time role, Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5.15pm. The ideal candidate will be well organised, punctual and eager to learn and follow our clinical processes. They will have experience across most general aspects of dental assisting and bring a positive, reliable approach to supporting both patients and the clinical team. The right candidate will:
- Have a passion for patient care and an empathetic nature
- Possess previous experience in a dental setting, with hands-on involvement in clinical procedures and infection control practices
- Be highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure all equipment and instruments are ready for procedures
- Have strong communication skills to interact effectively with both patients and the dental team
- Stay proactive, anticipating the needs of the dentist and taking initiative without needing to be asked
- Pay close attention to detail in all aspects of the role, from assisting with procedures to handling patient records
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Welcoming and preparing patients for treatment, providing chair-side assistance to ensure procedures run smoothly
- Working closely with colleagues to monitor conditions, support oral hygiene education and reassure patients about their ongoing treatment
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the clinic, including sterilising and maintaining dental equipment

- Assisting our dental practitioner chair-side with general and surgical procedures
- Ensuring all instruments and equipment are prepared and available
- Providing high quality patient care and ensuring a positive experience
- Maintaining high infection control standards
