Connect APAC are proud to be partnering with a key client who are one of the largest privately owned beverage companies in Australia, experiencing an exciting period of growth. This role will play a pivotal role in their continued expansion across a few key channels, including P&C, Foodservice and Independent Grocery.
The State Sales Manager – SA & NT is responsible for driving transformational growth across a diverse range of strategic customers. This role requires a balance between strategic and tactical thinking, demanding agility and a growth-focused, solutions-driven mindset.
Responsibilities
* Manage key accounts and drive profitable new business development.
* Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and growth strategy that ensures alignment with future business objectives and goals.
* Lead negotiations with customers and key stakeholders, including trading terms, tenders, and contracts.
* Establish clear routines to manage the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring accurate forecasting in collaboration with business stakeholders.
* Allocate time effectively between strategic planning and tactical execution.
* Oversee entire Profit & Loss (P&L) management and key financial metrics for state sales operations.
* Make data-driven strategic decisions that align with both short-term and long-term business goals.
* Drive profitable growth across key customer segments, both current and future.
Experience Required
* FMCG experience is essential
* Account Management experience is a must
* Ideally you have experience dealing with Wholesalers/Distributors and/or Independent MSO's
* People leadership is a nice to have, not essential
* Ability to be a part of a real growth journey with progression into bigger roles
* Work remotely and in a truly autonomous yet collaborative environment
