Levett Engineering are a high-performance precision machining business delivering complex components and assemblies into aerospace and defence programs.
We are looking for a Project Manager who takes full ownership of customer orders—from contract review through to final delivery.
This role sits at the centre of the business, working directly with customers and internally with our Production Planner / Scheduler to ensure commitments are realistic, executable, and met.
Job Description
About the Role:
* Acting as theprimary customer interfacefor assigned programs and orders
* Conductingcontract review(technical, commercial, and delivery requirements)
* Converting customer demand intoclear, executable internal schedules
* Provide leadership for project support functions with Production. Monitor Quality and Engineering activities to ensure they are completed on-time.
* Raising and managingjob cards / work orderswithin the ERP system
* Building and maintainingproject schedules aligned to factory capacity
* Coordinate scheduling in conjunction with the Operations Manager and Production Planning / scheduling.
* Follow up with Production and maintain production status to schedule
* Ensure variations where viable are included and re-costed
* Ensure all LOB and shortages are communicated across the business
* Working daily with the Production Planner tobalance demand vs capacity
* Tracking progress, identifying risks early, and driving corrective actions
* Provide assistance in reporting of sale targets and order book status
* Providingclear, proactive updates to customerson status and delivery
Desired Skills and Experience
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience inproject management within manufacturing or precision machining
* Strong understanding ofbuild-to-print environments and production flow
* Experience withcontract review and customer-facing delivery management
* Ability to align customer expectations withreal factory constraints
* High attention to detail with strong commercial awareness
* Understand the project milestone schedule
* Experience in risks and opportunities (R&O) within project environment
* Experience withERP/MRP systems
* Aerospace, defence, orAS9100 environment highly regarded
