Key responsibilities
* General Ledger and sub-ledger maintenance for allocated business unit(s).
* Ensure Fixed Asset register is maintained including timely capitalisations and disposals, and appropriate depreciation methods are applied.
* Working with Operations to deliver monthly reports (Management and Capex) and financial information is accurate, timely and provides insightful analysis.
* Working with the Commercial Team to ensure project finances are in line with commercial expectations.
* Prepare monthly management accounts including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and budget variance analysis with general/operations managers.
* Development and maintenance of Business Intelligence tools/dashboards and data analytics.
* Analyse and understand the financial and operational drivers of results.
* Preparation of budgets and periodic rolling forecasts as required.
What is required
* Tertiary Degree in Accounting or relevant qualifications.
* Completed or working towards CA/CPA.
* Experience in a range of accounting activities including general accounting, financial analysis, audit and management reporting.
* High level competency in Microsoft Office, inclusive of Excel.
* Experience working in operational finance in mining or contracting services (preferable).
