The Roles
* Mechanical Engineer
* Senior Mechanical Engineer
* Lead Mechanical Engineer
Reporting to the Engineering Director you will contribute to the design, development and delivery of mineral processing and bulk materials handling projects from concept through to detailed design and commissioning support.
The roles offer exposure to a diverse range of commodities and projects while working within a collaborative and technically focused engineering team.
The roles are offered on various engagement options.
Duties
* Deliver mechanical engineering design for mineral processing and/or materials handling projects
* Develop mechanical equipment specifications and data sheets
* Prepare calculations, reports and technical documentation
* Participate in feasibility studies, concept design and detailed engineering
* Review vendor documentation and technical submissions
* Coordinate with multi-discipline drafting teams
* Support procurement, construction and commissioning activities
* Conduct site inspections and field engineering support as required
* Contribute to safety in design and risk review processes
* Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian and industry standards
* Support project delivery to budget and schedule requirements
Senior and Lead positions will also:
* Lead mechanical work packages or project scopes
* Provide technical leadership and mentoring
* Interface directly with clients and stakeholders
* Support proposal preparation and study execution
* Manage deliverables, resources and engineering quality
CriteriaMechanical Engineer
* Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
* 2+ years' experience in mining, minerals processing and/or materials handling, preferably within an engineering consultancy or project delivery environment
* Exposure to plant equipment and mechanical design
* Good communication and teamwork skills
Senior Mechanical Engineer
* Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
* 8+ years' experience in mining and minerals processing and/or materials handling, preferably within an engineering consultancy or project delivery environment
* Strong technical and problem-solving capability
* Experience coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces
* Ability to work independently and mentor junior engineers
Lead Mechanical Engineer
* Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
* 10+ years' experience in mining and minerals processing and/or materials handling, preferably within an engineering consultancy or project delivery environment
* Proven leadership on studies and detailed design projects
* Strong client engagement and project coordination capability
* Experience managing mechanical scopes, schedules and deliverables
* Commercial awareness and leadership capability
