The Opportunity: You will have experience and exposure within a manufacturing environment and be open to learn the necessary trade and skills to be successful. At James Hardie, we train and invest in our people to ensure we set you up for success. You will be open to work across a day and night shift and also be flexible to work a rotating shift pattern. What the role involves: Operating concrete mixing, stacking and splitting machines Setting up and installing molds and other machine fixtures Setting grinding and cutting edges Carry out work in a safe manner, in accordance with Safety procedures as applicable Ensure process efficiencies are achieved and maintained Ensure production is in line with the specified production schedule Ensure product quality is in accordance with relevant specification and that process checks are performed as required Actively participate in improvement projects Manual Handling tasks are performed as part of this role Be flexible and adaptable with a willingness to embrace shift work Complying with all WHS safety practices and procedures What you will need: Previous experience in a quality assurance environment Forklift License is preferred but not essential Strong mechanical aptitude Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of safety in the workplace Ability to use computers for the entry and retrieval of process data and machine operation Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills All successful candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screening.
