Leader in Cardiovascular Research
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead cardiovascular research in South Australia.
The ideal candidate will foster collaboration, manage the SA Cardiovascular Research Network (CVRN), and administer state-based research grants. They will oversee operations, manage key committees, build relationships with stakeholders, and coordinate events to raise the profile of cardiovascular research.
1. Committee Support: Provide operational and strategic support to the CVRN Executive and Rising Stars Sub-Committees, including minute-taking, action items, and reporting.
2. Grant Management: Develop, promote, and administer research grants for CVRN members through transparent processes.
3. Event Leadership: Lead the planning and execution of key events like the Annual Cardiovascular Showcase, Emerging Leaders Symposium, and capacity-building workshops for researchers.
4. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with CVRN members, research funding bodies, institutions, local health networks, and government agencies.
5. Collaboration and Opportunity Development: Identify collaboration and funding opportunities across clinical, research, industry, and government sectors, and coordinate activities with other cardiovascular research networks.
6. Member Onboarding and Database Management: Coordinate the induction of new members and maintain the integrity of the CVRN member database.
7. Communications and Representation: Support digital efforts to raise the profile of CVRN and its members and represent the network at external meetings and forums.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the health and medical research landscape in SA and Australia, expertise in grant management and administration, experience in organizing research, capacity-building, and networking events, and excellent project management, organizational, and administrative skills.
