Position Overview
Perform maintenance and routine service on the fleet, plant, and diesel equipment to make sure everything is in a safe and road-worthy condition.
The mechanic's role is to ensure that all diesel, plant, and fleet equipment is maintained and serviced on a regular basis. This is done to make sure that every part of the machinery, vehicles, and other equipment is safe to use and in drivable condition. To guarantee that the fleet, plant, and diesel machinery are all in safe and road-worthy conditions, this includes, but is not limited to, carrying out diagnosis, maintenance, and service.
Qualifications and Experience:
Trade-qualified Diesel/Plant Fitter or Mechanic (Minimum Cert III). Current and Unrestricted Drivers Licence. Elevated Work Platform / Hydraulic experience is highly desirable. Experience in repairing and maintenance of light and heavy vehicles. Demonstrated solid diagnostic skills and experience. Experience working with diverse fleet and vehicle machinery as well as sound knowledge. Gearbox and differential experience are highly desirable.Key Skills:
Technical skills in relation to working with diverse fleets and vehicle machinery. Ability to follow directions and perform tasks under supervision. Commitment to working safely and adhering to all WHS regulations. Physically fit and able to maintain consistent output throughout the working day. A strong and prevalent commitment to high safety standards. Demonstrated reliability, commitment, and attendance. Ability to work within a small team relying on each individual team member to achieve safety and productivity outcomes, whilst adhering to all WHS regulations.
