Commercial Administrator Role Overview
The Commercial Administrator position is a crucial role within our organization, responsible for facilitating trade by helping clients develop their businesses.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Commercial Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for assigning new business proposals to the team, maintaining accurate case records, and collaborating with the Back Office Team in India to monitor document accuracy and turnaround times.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assigning new business proposals to the team while maintaining accurate case records.
* Collaborating with the Back Office Team in India to monitor document accuracy and turnaround times.
* Supporting the Account Management team through data entry, broker and client communications, and resolving cross-departmental queries.
* Assisting the commercial team with campaigns and special projects.
* Working closely with brokers on tasks such as Broker Surveys, Turnover Declarations, and completion of renewal and proposal documentation.
* Consulting with Risk Underwriting, Claims, and Finance Departments to ensure precise and optimal outcomes for renewal cases.
* Building strong relationships within the Commercial team to maximize resource utilization.
* Handling ad hoc projects as needed.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A university degree in Business Studies or related subjects.
* 3-5 years' practical experience in business development/account management experience in financial/insurance industry and/or multinational company a plus.
* Excellent communication skills - proficiency (written and spoken) in English.
* Willingness to operate in a team and ability to take on project work as assigned.
* Strong interpersonal skills and able to work well with all levels across the region.
* Microsoft Office Applications: Outlook, Word, Excel.
