Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable/Collection Specialist will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process and ensuring timely and accurate payments to all vendors. Additionally, this role will assist in the collections process for outstanding customer payments. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a high level of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process all accounts payable transactions, including verifying purchase orders, coding and entering invoices, and preparing payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
• Communicate effectively with vendors to ensure timely and accurate payments
• Assist in the collections process by contacting customers regarding outstanding payments and following up on payment plans
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable and collection activities
• Monitor and analyze aged payable and receivable reports to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues
• Prepare reports on accounts payable and collections for management review
• Comply with company's internal controls and policies to ensure compliance with accounting standards
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable and collections
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with online payment platforms is a plus
