The Staff Specialist Paediatrician provides consultant-level clinical care across acute inpatient, neonatal, emergency, outpatient, ambulatory, and short stay paediatric services at Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital, in line with the hospital's ISLHD-approved role delineation..
The role includes responsibility for acute paediatric inpatient care, neonatal care within the Special Care Nursery, Emergency care in the mixed ED, supervision and education of junior medical staff and medical students, participation in outreach services, and active contribution to clinical and corporate governance. The position supports the District's commitment to high-quality, safe, patient-centred care and medical education, with potential academic affiliation to the University of Wollongong.
