About the Job
The Clinical Nurse Consultant is a key position in our mental health services. We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Consultant.
This role will involve working with patients, families, and carers to provide expert clinical consultancy and services within a defined specialty. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership in promoting contemporary nursing practice within our district.

Key Responsibilities
The Clinical Nurse Consultant will be responsible for:
* Providing assessment and management of mental health presentations to emergency departments
* Providing advice and assessment to emergency services through a virtual mode
* Undertaking education sessions for the health workforce
* Demonstrating leadership in promoting contemporary nursing practice within our district

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* A current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
* At least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience and postgraduate qualifications in the relevant field
* Accredited person or willingness to be upskilled
* Demonstrated superior MH knowledge and exceptional assessment skills
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team
* Demonstrated communication skills and proven ability to implement change across a multidisciplinary team
* Ability to participate in a seven-day rotating roster including public holidays and night duties when required
