The Opportunity
VertiGO Physio and Rehab Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our team in Buderim, QLD. This is a part-time position with the opportunity to work in our advanced vestibular rehabilitation clinic, providing high-quality care to patients suffering from balance and dizziness disorders.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and treat vestibular disorders, including benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), vestibular neuritis, and Ménière's disease
* Develop and implement individualised treatment plans using evidence-based vestibular rehabilitation techniques
* Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
* Provide patient education on the management of vestibular conditions and strategies for improving balance and reducing falls
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
What We're Looking For
* Registered Physiotherapist with a minimum of 1 years' experience, preferably in a vestibular rehabilitation or neurological setting
* Strong knowledge of vestibular anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
* Proficiency in administering and interpreting vestibular and balance assessment tests
* Expertise in delivering evidence-based vestibular rehabilitation techniques, such as Canalith Repositioning Maneuvers and gaze stabilisation exercises
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate and engage patients
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
