Part-time Handyperson - National Convention Centre

We are seeking a dedicated Handyperson to ensure our Centre remains in top condition and operates efficiently. Your role will encompass conducting routine repairs, performing preventative maintenance, and addressing any facility-related issues promptly. You will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Repair or replace items throughout the Centre and refurbish spaces like meeting rooms and the exhibition hall, ensuring everything looks great and functions smoothly.
* Manage supplies and ensure all equipment is ready for the next day.
* Prioritise safety by following guidelines, reporting any incidents, hazardous conditions, or faulty equipment to your supervisor.
* Maintain cleanliness and safety in all areas, including the car park and plant rooms.
* Follow the preventative maintenance schedule to keep everything running efficiently.
* Be a welcoming presence and offer assistance to guests when needed.
* Inform your supervisor or duty manager about low supplies to ensure smooth operations.
* Present yourself professionally in a neat and approachable uniform.
* Be adaptable and ready to take on additional tasks as required by the team.
* Wear and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required in WHS procedures.
* Use safety, emergency equipment, plant materials, tools, and substances provided in the workplace as directed or as required in WHS procedures.
