This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of experienced trades personnel in a dynamic and challenging environment. As Assistant Supervisor, you will be responsible for guiding your team through a rotation of day and night shifts, ensuring the successful execution of planned maintenance schedules, and promoting a culture of safety within your crew.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, enabling them to work effectively with various stakeholders, from apprentices to upper management. They must also be accountable for identifying and addressing potential hazards and implementing solutions to prevent accidents.
A key requirement for this role is extensive knowledge of fixed plant equipment, including jaw crushers, cone crushers, mills, slurry pumps, and hydraulic pressure filters. The candidate should also hold trade qualifications in mechanical fitting or boilermaking, as well as non-slew crane tickets (desired). Relevant tickets for working at heights, elevated work platforms, confined spaces, forklifts, and riggers are also essential.
