**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The Quality and Risk Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of care and ensuring positive business outcomes while minimising potential risks within the hospital.
Working closely with clinical and non-clinical departments, the Quality and Risk Manager will:
- Establish and uphold effective quality assurance protocols;
- Conduct thorough analyses of processes and outcomes;
- Implements strategies to enhance patient safety and satisfaction;
- Oversee compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements;
- Facilitate staff education on risk management practices, serving as a resource for resolving quality-related issues.
**REQUIREMENTS**
To succeed in this role, you will be a confident, self-directed individual with a high level of skill and knowledge in all aspects of hospital governance.
- Relevant clinical qualifications in Nursing or Allied Health;
- Minimum of 5 years in an acute hospital setting;
- Experience and competence in undertaking root cause analysis investigations;
- Demonstrated effectiveness in both operational and strategic leadership in a hospital setting;
- Experience and expertise in quality and patient safety role/s;
- Demonstrated understanding of quality improvement framework/s;
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of databases such as RiskMan.

**ABOUT THE FACILITY**
The hospital, located in Sydney's South, is a fully accredited 276-bed advanced surgical and acute medical facility, providing an outstanding working environment, modern facilities, innovative education programmes and a supportive executive team. The hospital currently consists of 16 Operating theatres, including a Hybrid theatre. It has the Da Vinci Xi Robot and New Orthopaedic MAKO Robot.
