EHW Technology is a business IT specialist based in Mackay. EHW Technology and our sister company The Laptop Man serve business and residential clients in the Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday region.
Role Description
We are currently looking for a full‑time IT Service Technician experienced with computer hardware and software for an immediate start. This is an entry‑level role perfect for those straight out of school or university. The candidate will provide in‑house repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting, sales, customer support and warranty support, as well as technical support to small businesses and residential customers, resolving/escalating incidents and service requests in a timely and effective manner.
Responsibilities
* Provide in‑house repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting, sales, customer support and warranty support.
* Support the existing service department.
* Resolve or escalation of incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
* Provide technical support to small businesses and residential customers.
Qualifications
* IT knowledge in desktop/laptop hardware and software.
* Experience with Windows 10 / 11.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2019 / Office 365.
* Experience in desktop support, particularly diagnosing errors and replacing hardware.
* Experience in networking, printers/set‑up, scanners.
* Current driver's licence.
* Australian citizenship or appropriate work visa (not a sponsored role).
* Year 12 certificate.
* Hands‑on experience with hardware repairs.
Soft Skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Great time‑management skills, with an ability to prioritise and deliver to strict timeframes.
* Strong ability to manage and process incidents and service requests.
