About the role: The Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Unit aims to reduce the risk of individuals from becoming or remaining violent extremists and to address the social impacts of violent extremism. As a Senior Psychologist housed in the CVE Unit, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of CVE intervention through a holistic and multi-agency approach to ensure service delivery is met. The role requires close collaboration with key stakeholders including law enforcement, government agencies, and non-government organisations at a state and national level. Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements. Your duties will include: * Supporting the delivery of CVE intervention including via multi-agency approaches. * Conducting psychological risk and threat evaluations, compiling reports and providing specialist advice to senior management in relation to counter terrorism risk mitigation activities. * Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of CVE intervention. * Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of CVE intervention best practice About You: The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience: * Experience managing complex cases and high-risk offenders. * Experience working under pressure in a dynamic and operational environment. * Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Registration number must be provided. * Membership or eligibility for membership of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). * Masters or equivalent qualification in Psychology is desirable. * Approved area of practice endorsement in forensic psychology is desirable. Further Information: * One (1) full time, fixed term until 30/06/2027 position available. * The position is located at the Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands. * The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head.
