We are looking for an experienced Strategic Asset Lead to join a progressive local government organisation on a 5-month contract. The Opportunity: In this role, you will provide strategic and technical leadership across public lighting assets, ensuring best-practice asset management and long-term planning. You will be instrumental in driving improvements to asset performance, safety, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the Public Lighting Condition Audit contract and provide technical oversight across the municipality
* Oversee and coordinate the public lighting condition audit program
* Define and formalise levels of service for municipal lighting assets
* Develop a fit-for-purpose maintenance regime
* Prepare proactive asset renewal and investment programs across 1, 2, 5, and 10-year horizons
* Provide technical input and formal sign-off on key asset decisions
* Respond to customer and stakeholder enquiries regarding lighting performance, safety, and standards
About You
You are a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise in asset management, ideally within a local government or infrastructure environment. You bring experience in developing asset plans, managing contracts, and engaging with stakeholders, alongside a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
