About the Role
We invite qualified and dedicated teachers to apply for the temporary part-time position of Science/Mathematics Teacher in our Secondary School. This role will commence on a specified date and run until the end of the year. The position also has the potential to become permanent. New and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.
As a member of our Secondary School team spanning Year 7 to Year 12, the teacher collaborates closely with the KLA Coordinator and Wellbeing Coordinators. Together, they work towards creating an enriching learning environment marked by excellence in assessment, evaluation, reporting, fostering positive relationships, prioritising student safety, and ensuring the wellbeing and discipline of our students. In this capacity, the teacher reports to both the KLA Coordinator and the Head of Secondary School, with accountability extending to all aspects of teaching and curriculum development.
Key Responsibilities
* Hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) Clearance
* Be enthusiastic about engaging students in meaningful learning experiences
* Possess a passion for Christian Education
* Be confident in the use of technology in the classroom
* Embody a curious and tenacious approach to learning, with a passion for motivating students to do likewise
* Be willing and able to teach Stage 6 Physics and/or Chemistry
* Have experience in teaching Stages 4-6 Science or Mathematics
* Display an integrated understanding of the interaction between faith and the teaching of Science
* Have experience working in an educational setting
