Join our team in maintaining welcoming, safe, and well-presented environments across multiple sites. In this hands‐on role, you'll ensure gardens and grounds are kept neat and attractive for residents and visitors, while also supporting minor maintenance, repairs, and refurbishment works.
Key responsibilities
* Maintaining existing gardens and assist with new development works for landscaping around the site.
* Communicating clearly and compassionately especially to elderly residents in their home whilst carrying out garden maintenance.
* Maintaining a high level of understanding of suitability for plants insofar as maintainability needs, lifespan, appearance and provision of related technical advice as required.
* Using motorized garden equipment, while ensuring the safety of residents, visitors and staff in the proximity.
* Implementing environmentally friendly garden management practices.
* Developing a sound knowledge of new equipment to the extent required to effectively maintain the equipment.

What We're Looking For
* Experience in the provision of grounds, gardens and environmental services (preferred in a health care or similar environment).
* Strong conversational and written communication skills.
* Knowledge of use of pesticides & other chemicals including safe handling & storage.
* Understanding of contemporary methods of plant care.
* Commitment to customer service, equal employment opportunity, workplace health and safety and continuous quality improvement.
* Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy).
* Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
* Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel for work.
