Overview
Our client: An innovative technology client based in WA is seeking a Data Scientist with expertise in Python and signal processing to work on cutting edge, life changing technologies. We are open to candidates Australia wide with full work rights who are willing to relocate to WA.
Role type: Initial 1 year contract with extension or permanency.
Responsibilities
Design and develop algorithms for signal feature detection
Lead and mentor a Data team to define model requirements for building models/algorithms
Bridge the gap between the data team and business stakeholders to action business requirements
Build production-ready machine learning models
Implement real-time signal processing solutions
Key experience
Proven commercial experience in Data Scientist role focusing on signal processing technologies (including SciPy, Scikit-Signal)
Expertise utilizing Python and GitHub
The ability to apply theory to practice must be second nature
Expertise in SQL and experience with Snowflake for data storage and querying
Hands-on experience with KNIME, MATLAB or similar platforms for analysis and model development
Natural ability to lead and mentor a data team would be preferred
Real world experience with the calibration of products
Excellent communication skills and team leadership abilities
Full Australian Work rights is a requirement
Relevant tertiary qualifications in areas including Data Science, Machine Learning, Electrical and RF Engineering would be preferred
Desirable
Previous experience working in the healthcare industry would be highly regarded
A PhD background would be highly regarded
