We are in the market for an experienced and qualified Team Leader Gully Eductor professional, you are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge. As a Team Leader you will lead and manage a small drainage maintenance team to deliver proactive and reactive drainage cleaning and flood mitigation works documenting vital information along the way. You will play an important role for continued operation of the City's drainage systems as well as the safety of the public. Reporting to works Supervisor, you will prioritise, plan, and manage your day to day works as well as resources ensuring a safe and productive workplace.

What can you bring to the team?

* Experience in implementing and undertaking storm water drainage maintenance programs.
* Ability to manage and plan scheduled works and work requests simultaneously to a high standard.
* Maintaining a high level of customer service.
* Guiding the work of a small team and providing on the job training.
* Maintaining required quality standards.
* Providing leadership to ensure safety standards are maintained.
* Ensuring the proper operation and security of materials, plant and equipment.
* Ability to track and map systems to ensure cleaning is effective.

To be successful you will have:

* Experience of drainage operations including operation of pumps.
* Previous experience supervising employees and conducting practical staff training
* Thorough knowledge of drainage maintenance techniques, methods, and quality control procedures.
* Understanding and interpreting drawings/plans.
* Good knowledge of the safe operation, working practices and user maintenance of plant and equipment in a general construction environment.
* Understanding of, and commitment to, the principles and practices of Occupational Safety & Health and Equal Opportunity.
* Knowledge of materials estimating, budgetary preparation and control, costing and administration.
* Understanding of contract management principles.
* Detailed knowledge of local government general procedures and standards.
* Current certificate in Basic Worksite Traffic Management
* Current Senior First Aid Certificate
* Current unrestricted "HR" (Heavy Rigid) class national driver's licence.
* Current Forklift operating licence. (desirable)
* Possession of, or progress towards, a Local Government Supervisors Certificate (desirable)
* Vehicle Mounted Crane Accreditation Certificates (desirable)
* Completion of Year 10 Certificate (desirable) Basic knowledge of Microsoft and mobile technology.
* Work with limited supervision and manage others to achieve set goals
* The successful applicant will be required to undergo a Full Pre-medical assessment including Drug and Alcohol testing.

This permanent fulltime OSE Level 4 position attracts a salary range of $76,368 - $79,093 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
