ALLFENIX – Full Time (12-Month Parental Leave Cover)
About the Role
ALLFENIX is a Melbourne-based Pilateswear brand known for elevated style, technical design, and premium performance fabrics. As we continue to scale our global presence across Australia, the US and beyond, we're expanding our in-house design team.
We're now looking for an experienced Senior Fashion Designer to join our growing product and design team, contributing across activewear, swimwear, contemporary womenswear and accessories.
This is a 12-month parental leave cover role however, there is genuine opportunity to transition into other design categories within the business beyond that period.
This is a hands-on role for a designer who understands market trends, has strong technical skills, and enjoys bringing products from concept to delivery. You\'ll follow the critical path closely and collaborate with the founders, production, designers, garment technicians and suppliers to deliver ranges that are modern, functional and aligned with our brand.
What You\'ll Be Doing
* Designing monthly collections across activewear, swim, lifestyle apparel and accessories
* Supporting concept development and range planning
* Managing the full design process including tech packs, sample development and approvals
* Creating graphic artwork and textile prints using basic illustration or digital design skills
* Communicating daily with offshore suppliers to manage product detail, quality and timelines
* Collaborating with our garment technicians to refine fit, construction and performance
* Staying across trend, fabric and silhouette evolution to keep ranges fresh and relevant
* Working closely with our design team and cross-functional teams to deliver a cohesive product vision
* Following the critical path and maintaining momentum across tight timelines
* Supporting the delivery of private label and wholesale buyer orders with accuracy and speed
What You\'ll Bring
* 5+ years\' experience in fashion design, ideally within activewear, swim or lifestyle apparel
* A strong aesthetic and understanding of designing within brand identity
* Technical knowledge across garment construction, fit, trims and fabric performance
* Confidence using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Excel
* Experience in designing graphics and prints for apparel or accessories
* Excellent time management, with the ability to work across fast-paced deadlines and multiple collections
* A proactive, reliable and solution-focused approach to getting things done
* Strong communication and follow-through with both internal teams and offshore suppliers
* The ability to work well under pressure, stay focused and move fast without compromising detail
