Key Responsibilities
Be the first point of contact for patients in urgent care—triage every patient who walks through the door with accuracy, empathy, and confidence.
Conduct thorough and precise nursing triage—quickly assess patient needs and prioritize care to ensure the best outcomes.
Act decisively in critical moments—identify and elevate emergencies or patient deterioration without hesitation to safeguard patient health.
Perform hands-on procedural care such as suturing and plastering, expanding your expertise in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, ever-changing setting to respond to the unique challenges of urgent care.
Collaborate closely with patients, their families, carers, and medical practitioners to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.
Support and guide patients toward the best clinical outcomes with your knowledge and care.
Provide essential health information that equips patients to take charge of their wellbeing.
Complete all patient records accurately and promptly to support continuity of care and quality standards.
Champion workplace health and safety by actively participating in safety initiatives, promptly reporting incidents or hazards, and fostering a secure and supportive work environment.
About You
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
Must be available evenings and weekends.
Minimum three years of experience in one of the following: Emergency Department, triage, ICU, CCU, rural or remote nursing.
Preferred: previous experience in triage with an emergency department or remote nursing.
Will be required to provide a Working with Children's check and a National Police check if not already obtained.
Minimum three years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and to raise the appropriate alarms.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail.
Can work autonomously and delegate when appropriate.
