The Opportunity

We are seeking either a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) or a Senior Clinical Research Associate (SCRA) to support and coordinate complex, multi‐centre clinical studies within the Critical Care Program. Our successful candidate will work closely with investigators, research teams and international collaborators.

The Critical Care Program has established an international track record in Critical Care research, including high quality, large‐scale randomised controlled trials, cohort studies and observational studies.

The program focuses on all aspects of the management of critically ill patients—from the prehospital phase through to hospital care, specifically Intensive Care, short‐term recovery, rehabilitation, and long‐term functional outcomes and quality of life.

Salary

Clinical Research Associate: Salary Range of $83,500 to $93,900 Base (dependent on experience, skills and capabilities) plus 12% Superannuation + Smart Salary Packaging Benefit.

Senior Clinical Research Associate: Salary Range of $96,900 to $107,400 Base (dependent on experience, skills and capabilities) plus 12% Superannuation + Smart Salary Packaging Benefit.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

* Support and coordinate complex, multi‐centre clinical studies within the Critical Care Program.
* Work closely with investigators, research teams and international collaborators.

Application Requirements

We ask that our candidates submit a Cover Letter and a CV outlining their suitability for the position clearly addressing the following criteria:

* Outline if your application applies to a CRA or SCRA and a brief explanation of where your skills and experience are best aligned.
* Demonstrated experience and/or a sound understanding of clinical research within a critical care setting.
* Demonstrated experience supporting or coordinating clinical research studies including experience with large‐scale clinical trials and an understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and other regulatory requirements.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

* Tertiary qualifications in a related science or health care discipline, preferably specialised in critical care.
* Previous monitoring experience working on clinical projects within an academic, CRO or pharmaceutical environment, preferably in critical care.
* Working knowledge of, and ability to implement project activities in accordance with, ICH/GCP and all applicable regulations and guidelines in the relevant regions.
* Sound understanding of medical terminology.
* Working knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines.
* Experience/understanding of critical care research consent models.
* Understanding of confidentiality and privacy laws and all guidelines relevant to medical research.
* Excellent skills in MS Office applications including Excel and Word.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well and flexibly i.e. autonomously, in small teams and with a wide range of varying stakeholders.
* Strong focus on producing the highest quality of work and on ensuring optimum accuracy of outputs.
* Ability and willingness to travel.
* Flexibility to work non‐standard hours of work for collaboration and contact with global teams based on requirements of the position.
