Procurement Leader Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Leader to lead our procurement initiatives across multiple sites, including workshops, fleet, recycling centres, and Head Office. In this pivotal role, you will partner with senior leadership to deliver cost-effective solutions, strengthen supplier relationships, and implement strategies that support long-term business success.
About the Role
* Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with organisational goals, driving cost efficiencies and value creation across all categories.
* Establish and enforce robust procurement policies and governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with legislation, ethical standards and best practice.
* Lead complex tendering and supplier selection processes, managing bids, proposals and negotiations to secure optimal commercial and operational outcomes.
* Negotiate, implement and manage high-value supplier contracts, monitoring performance, mitigating risk and ensuring adherence to agreed terms.
* Conduct market intelligence and demand forecasting, leveraging data to inform strategic purchasing decisions and identify opportunities for innovation and savings.
* Deliver accurate reporting and actionable insights to senior leadership and supporting informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
* Build and maintain strategic supplier partnerships, fostering collaboration, resilience and long-term value for the organisation.
Requirements
* Proven track record with a minimum of 10 years' experience in procurement, ideally in a senior or strategic capacity.
* Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills, with demonstrable success managing complex supplier relationships and large-scale contracts.
* Advanced proficiency in MS Office and strong analytical capability, able to interpret data and drive evidence-based decisions.
* Experience in high-volume purchasing; exposure to fleet services or recycling sectors is highly advantageous.
* Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
