The Role of a Stocktake Assistant
We are currently seeking applications for a stocktake assistant position in our team. As a stocktake assistant, you will be responsible for conducting stock counts in various stores across North/Central Queensland.
The role involves visiting different stores each day, where you will be responsible for counting items and entering data into a handheld device. This requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work accurately within tight deadlines.
Our team works around 36 weeks annually, with no stocktakes before Christmas or around Easter, although opportunities may arise during these periods. Compensation includes a competitive pay rate, travel allowances, superannuation, and staff discounts. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training through our dedicated trainers, enabling you to develop your skills and excel in your role.
Responsibilities:
1. Audit stock levels according to company guidelines, targets, and timeframes.
2. Work cooperatively within a team environment.
3. Foster a safe working environment by adhering to occupational health and safety (OH&S) policies.
Requirements:
* Effective written and verbal communication skills and sound mathematical ability.
* Current driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
* Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
* Ability to perform repetitive tasks and maintain a positive attitude.
* Availability for flexible casual shifts from Monday to Friday, with early starts and some evening or late shifts.
* Willingness to travel for up to four nights, with accommodation provided.
* Effective communication with customers and team members.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Pre-employment physical assessment required.
