About the Role
The Food & Pharmaceutical Division operates a modern laboratory at Rydalmere, Sydney that is equipped with the latest analytical technology. The division is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to become part of the Metals & Wet Chemistry team that strives to exceed customer expectations by delivering quality results on time and by maintaining strong relationships with clients.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:15 PM, however, we are happy to discuss what works best with the successful candidate.
The Day-to-Day
Perform routine metals and wet chemistry analysis, following compendial method and in-house methods.
Operate and troubleshoot instrumentation such as ICP-MS and ICP-OES.
Ensure analytical procedures and associated tasks are conducted in accordance with ALS Quality Systems.
Follow structured workflows to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Contribute to a safe, efficient, and high-performing laboratory environment.
Act as trainer for tasks within or below the category for which experience, proficiency and competency have been established.
The Essentials
One year's relevant experience (a degree or diploma preferred) and an appropriate level of aptitude depending on the tests to be allocated.
Understand safety precautions necessary while working with samples of unknown hazard.
Good chemical knowledge.
Excellent organisational skills.
