The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Landscape Architect to advance their career by contributing to significant projects, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating with allied professionals in the Urbis Sydney office.
We are looking for someone with the ambition to progress into a senior leadership role within the Sydney team. The position will be shaped around the strengths and experience of the successful candidate to support their development into this leadership position.
This position involves demonstrating a broad understanding, passion, and proven skill base in the areas of landscape, public realm design and placemaking.
You will work closely with our clients to shape cities and communities to deliver excellent client and community outcomes. This includes the ability to deliver and manage small to large projects and support the design team nationally. Integral to this position is the achievement of individual and commercial targets.

Responsibilities
* Supporting local and national Design teams in delivering small to large projects across a variety of sectors, including urban regeneration, residential, education, infrastructure, open space, and mixed use precincts.
* Contributing to all stages of the design process from site analysis, master planning and concept design through to documentation, tendering and construction administration.
* Applying sound knowledge of landscape architecture, construction processes, and relevant Australian Standards to produce high‑quality design outcomes.
* Collaborating with multi‑disciplinary teams and liaising with clients, consultants and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
* Assisting with fee proposals, tracking project budgets, and providing regular updates to senior team members.
* Promoting the firm's services and supporting business development initiatives.
About You
* Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture, Architecture or urban design.
* Minimum 7 years relevant experience, ideally gained in a private practice or with local council or government.
* Brings an understanding of design principles and methods and the ability to apply them in the urban environment.
* Advanced and efficient skills in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino and/or other 3D modelling software.
* Sound technical skills and demonstrated understanding of construction methods through built outcomes.
* Advanced and efficient skills in relevant components of the Adobe Suite.
* Successfully manages client priorities and expectations.
* Demonstrates adaptability when dealing with problems and changes to priorities.
* Communicates graphically at an advanced level using both digital and hand‑drawn formats to convey design ideas and concepts or documentation.
