About the Role
The University of Notre Dame Australia seeks an academic staff member to contribute to the teaching, research and leadership efforts of the Faculty of Education, Philosophy and Theology.
The successful candidate will teach, coordinate and lead courses in Language and Literacy Education at undergraduate and postgraduate programs in teacher education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate, design and teach in courses in Language and Literacy Education.
* Develop, lead and maintain a research agenda relevant to the role that builds collaborations within and beyond the institution.
* Demonstrate active and constructive participation in Governance and Service activities that support the smooth running of the school, faculty and institution.
* Ensure courses and programs are aligned with external Accreditation Standards and Procedures.
* Lead in the Language and Literacy Education field through collaborations with schools, school systems, and community groups.
* Supervise Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students.
Requirements
A doctoral qualification relevant to knowledge about Language and Literacy Education is required. Demonstrated skills/knowledge/experience relevant to Language and Literacy Education, its role in becoming literate within and beyond educational settings, and resources that support literacy proficiencies are also necessary.
