What you'll do Lead and influence clinicians from across Queensland to improve the quality of healthcare services and healthcare outcomes.
Lead and manage a team of multidisciplinary project officers to deliver projects and initiatives using a framework focused on healthcare improvement strategies including project management, quality improvement, change management and improvement science methodologies.
Provide program management and operational support for a range of multidisciplinary governance groups including setting priorities, managing multiple tasks and risks, achieving results within tight deadlines and coordinating projects effectively.
Identification of best practice models of care, and the ability to promote the scale and spread of these models statewide as appropriate.
Review and deliver responsive, time critical, expert advice and support to Clinical Excellence Queensland, Director-General and Minister for Health on a range of complex organisational issues.
This will include the preparation of briefings, reports and complex submissions.
Build and maintain positive relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders across the health sector, from frontline clinicians to the Deputy Director-General, Clinical Excellence Queensland and Minister for Health.
Be a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders engaging with Clinical Excellence Queensland About you Well-developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels, including the ability to negotiate, build relationships, influence stakeholders and manage staff within the healthcare portfolio.
Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing complex reports, submissions, briefing notes, agenda papers and other correspondence for a range of executive level and ministerial stakeholders.
Proven experience working in the healthcare sectors challenging and dynamic operating environments including proven ability to lead, manage and deliver complex statewide clinical projects using quality improvement and redesign methodologies and tools, and achieve outcomes within time and cost limitations.
Proven ability to provide strategic advice and direction within the health care environment while building and leading high-performance teams to deliver high quality outcomes within tight timeframes.
