About the Role
Working in both the workshop and quarry sites, you'll learn how to service, maintain, and repair a wide range of heavy mobile plant and quarrying machinery, including:
* Crushers and screeners
* Loaders and excavators
* Haul trucks and skid steers
* Conveyors and fixed plant equipment
This structured 4-year apprenticeship combines hands-on experience with study towards a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology
What You'll Learn
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults in quarry machines
* Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems maintenance
* Preventative servicing and inspections to minimise downtime
* Welding, fabrication, and field breakdown repairs
* Safe work practices in a quarry environment
* Keeping accurate job documentation and servicing records

What We're Looking For
* Completed Year 10 or higher
* Driver's licence
* Willingness to work in tough environments (dust, noise, heavy lifting)
* Reliability, resilience, and pride in doing the job right
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Self-motivated.
* Whilst the role is Dubbo-based, you will be required to travel to sites across Central West NSW and take part in rostered weekend work.
