Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Designing and updating menus to reflect seasonal produce, customer preferences, and cost targets.
Coordinating kitchen workflow to ensure timely service during peak operating hours.
Inspecting incoming ingredients and supplies to ensure freshness, quality, and compliance with standards.
Managing portion control and plating standards to maintain consistency across all dishes.
Overseeing stock rotation and storage practices to minimise waste and spoilage.
Collaborating with management to develop new recipes and specialty offerings.
Supervising kitchen operations to ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
Monitoring equipment usage and reporting maintenance or repair needs.
Implementing procedures to control food costs and reduce operational inefficiencies.
Evaluating kitchen performance and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, Certificate IV or Diploma in Commercial Cookery or Relevant qualifications.
A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role.
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between: $75,000 - $90,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
