About the Role
This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of systems integration activities. As a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for testing and quality assurance across various systems.
Your tasks will involve manual and automated testing, as well as collaboration with technical teams, business subject matter experts, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse system requirements and conduct static testing to identify potential issues.
* Design, execute, and manage test cases across system testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and production verification testing.
* Create test data and ensure its traceability throughout the testing process.
* Participate in test case reviews and defect triage to identify areas for improvement.
* Identify regression tests and testing risks to mitigate potential issues.
* Provide detailed progress reports to project stakeholders, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
* Ensure alignment with testing strategies and standards to maintain consistency.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Experience in system integration testing (web applications, mobility, portals) is highly valued.
* Proficiency with manual testing tools (e.g., Jira) is essential for success in this role.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to translate system requirements into comprehensive test cases are critical.
* Intermediate SQL Server knowledge is necessary for creating effective test data and ensuring data integrity.
* Ability to troubleshoot and isolate test failures to resolve issues efficiently.
* Confident communication skills to provide clear and consistent testing updates to diverse teams.
* Accountable and effective team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Desirable Experience
* Exposure to automated testing, particularly with SmartBear TestComplete/TestExecute, is a significant advantage.
* Testing experience on large-scale or multi-year projects is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with data testing, ETL processes, and large datasets is beneficial for this role.
* Understanding of data mapping, reconciliation, and validation is essential for ensuring data accuracy.
* Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields are highly valued.
