This role operates in close partnership with Lilly.
You will be responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, meeting, and exceeding sales goals and achieving all other key operational goals.Reporting to the Vanigent National Business Director, you will also be responsible for hiring, training, coaching and developing your Territory Managers.
Working with your team, you will execute the defined strategy, including business planning and performance metrics, alliance partnership/collaboration, resource planning, market access and pull-through, and leadership of the sales force—while leading the business in compliance with all Vanigent sales guidelines.Essential FunctionsLeads, motivates, and develops a team of Territory Managers, building capabilities and driving overall territory performance against sales, access, and compliance goals.Effectively identifies and monitors multiple local market conditions to build and support strong customer relationships while driving product-promotion solutions and executing marketing strategies.Monitors field activities to ensure all are within compliance guidelines and provides timely feedback on marketing tactics and market conditions while collaborating closely with leadership, commercial operations, marketing, and medical affairs.Develops and executes comprehensive plans to support the sales and revenue plans of the organization.Ensures call plan execution by the Territory Managers through monitoring/reporting sales performance against key performance metrics.Partners with Alliance team to develop integrated business plans, communication, and collaboration with key strategic and tactical initiatives.Leads budget planning and expense management for the Territory Manager team.Required Education And SkillsBachelor's degree is required, advanced degree is preferredAt least 5 years of experience as a district or regional first-line manager required10+ years of commercial pharmaceutical experienceImmunology experience is highly preferredDocumented history and proven track record of sales successValid driver's license with safe driving record that meets Vanigent requirementsAbility to meet travel demands - 70% field time and other travel as necessary, including overnights and/or weekendsMust pass background check and drug screeningPreference for the BD to live in the district boundariesDemonstrated ability to lead a district, create and execute strategic plans and drive results through othersAbility to develop, recruit and hire top talentExceptional communication skillsStrong analytical capabilityComputer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office softwareVanigent is an independent contract sales organization delivering measurable, results-driven outcomes that prioritize the needs of our customers.
