About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our regional delivery of drinking water quality management. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliable supply of safe, high-quality drinking water to our customers.
As a key member of our team, you will be based in Karratha, Western Australia, and will have the opportunity to enjoy a vibrant lifestyle in the heart of the Pilbara region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the regional delivery of the Drinking Water Quality Management Framework, applying a catchment-to-point-of-supply approach.
* Design and implement water quality monitoring programs to ensure safe, compliant drinking water for our customers.
* Conduct and support investigations and audits, including site inspections, catchment strategy reviews, water safety plan development, and internal/external process assessments.
* Drive compliance in water resource licensing, overseeing the deployment of the Water Resource Management Operations Strategy (WRMOS) across the region.
* Translate licence requirements into operational actions, managing non-compliance checks and reporting obligations.
* Identify and respond to water quality incidents, coordinating investigations and leading regional response and reporting activities.
* Support incident management, taking a leadership role in response efforts for Drinking Water Quality events.
Requirements:
* A degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline, with significant experience in drinking water quality and catchment management.
* Strong knowledge of the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.
* Experience applying quality management systems desirable.
* Background in water operations and/or natural resource management desirable.
* Ability to mentor and train others desirable.
