**Clinical Psychology - Psychotherapy Registrar**

Part of the re-orientation of the Mental Health service towards the centrality of psychotherapy for the treatment of consumers**
North-West Area Mental Health Service (NWAMHS) is re-orienting its service model towards the implementation of psychotherapy for all consumers who require it. Following the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System, we are focussing on demand from our consumers who have consistently told us that face-to-face psychotherapeutic contact is the most valuable and productive form of assistance received from the public mental health system. This is a once in a generation shift for our service and we are seeking to train clinical psychologists to be part of it.
**Your new role:
- Conduct your own psychotherapeutic practice for consumers of NWAMHS;
- Be part of the development of innovative psychotherapeutic approaches to consumers of NWAMHS with mental health difficulties.
- Support and enhance the psychotherapeutic approaches currently in use within NWAMHS.
- Become fully endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist within the psychology registrar program at NWAMHS
**About you**:
- You have an interest in developing your psychotherapeutic practice.
- You have some experience and training in at least one model of psychotherapy.
- You are enthusiastic to be trained in and implement additional models of psychotherapy
- You possess general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia**Interested?**
