Appliance Maintenance Technician – Commercial Kitchen Equipment

About the Role
The Appliance Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial kitchen equipment across Chevron & Viva petroleum and remote site facilities in Western Australia. The role involves travelling between operational sites to ensure kitchen appliances are functioning safely, efficiently, and in compliance with safety and operational standards.
Technicians will service a range of commercial catering equipment, including ovens, fryers, dishwashers, grills, refrigeration units, and other kitchen appliances used in remote workforce accommodation and site kitchens.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose faults and repair commercial kitchen equipment including ovens and combi ovens, deep fryers, dishwashers and glass washers, grills, hotplates, and salamanders, refrigeration and cold storage units.
* Perform preventive maintenance inspections to reduce downtime and equipment failure.
* Replace faulty parts and components as required.
* Travel between Chevron petroleum and remote facilities across Western Australia.
* Respond to service callouts and urgent breakdowns.
* Ensure repairs are completed efficiently with minimal disruption to kitchen operations.
* Install and commission new commercial kitchen equipment.
* Test appliances after installation to ensure safe and compliant operation.
* Provide guidance to site staff on proper equipment use and maintenance.
Safety & Compliance
* Follow Chevron site safety procedures and permit systems.
* Ensure all repairs comply with Australian electrical and gas safety standards.
* Maintain accurate service reports and maintenance records.
Skills & Qualifications
* Trade qualification in Electrical, Appliance Service, Refrigeration, or Commercial Equipment Maintenance
* Experience servicing commercial kitchen or catering equipment
* Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
* Strong understanding of safety procedures in industrial or petroleum environments
* Current Driver's Licence
* Police Check
* Working with Children\'s Check
