Empowering Residential Care Communities
As a Regional Leisure and Lifestyle Partner, you will be responsible for guiding local teams to implement creative and evidence-informed leisure and lifestyle initiatives. This includes mentoring and coaching team members to ensure consistency in delivering programs that promote wellbeing, purpose, and social connection.
You will travel across homes, engage with residents and their families, understand their needs, and assist with day-to-day lifestyle activities.
To succeed in this role, you will require a deep understanding of people living in aged care communities and what is needed to enhance life.
Key Qualifications and Experience Include:
* Bachelor of Health Science or associate degree in Health Science with a major in leisure and health or Diversional Therapy/Therapeutic Recreation
* Diversional Therapist/Lifestyle Coordinator with a minimum of 5 years' experience
* Demonstrated leadership of teams with work in workplace change, project management, and continuous improvement
* Experience in training and education delivery
* Previous experience in Aged Care and accreditation processes
* Current Driver's Licence
* Demonstrated understanding and appreciation of the organisation's Christian identity and promotion of its values through interactions at work
* Strong client-facing and teamwork skills; ability to build rapport and trust with residents, local residential care staff, and operational and support staff
* Solid organisational skills, including multi-tasking and time management
* Ability and willingness to travel across state and, at times, interstate; ability to connect with others in a meaningful and respectful way
* Ability to logically prioritise varying work demands
* Demonstrated capacity to foster and implement best practice and continuous improvement processes
